our story
The Coffee House at West End is located in a historic building built in 1930 by West End Baptist Church, originally serving as a Sunday School for about 40 years. The building fell into disrepair in the 1980s, later becoming a food pantry and a place for families to find secondhand clothes before being closed in the 2000s. After sitting dormant for two decades, West End Church, founded in 2015, began redesigning the space in 2020. They aimed to create a community gathering spot while preserving its historical nature. The Coffee House at West End opened in October 2021, offering a welcoming space to build relationships, enjoy coffee, and host events, all while showcasing views of the Houston skyline.
